1981 Trans Am with the 35,000 one owner miles

100% original factory paint and decals on this last year second generation Trans Am.  35,000 original miles on the car and numbers matching engine and drivetrain.  I bought it from the estate of the original owner.  I looked nationwide for an all ORIGINAL and well kept black and gold T/A.  I owned these cars new back in the day and I am more than tired of all the story and semi restored Trans Ams out there for sale, aka 98% of them.

The interior is 100% original right down to the floor mats.  Trunk is as new and with the original spare and tools, including factory original t top bag.  Engine bay is carefully detailed by myself but all original.  The factory numbers matching 4.9 Liter Pontiac designed engine starts with no noise or smoke, and runs silently.  It will cruise at 75 + mph without any effort.  The factory original transmission shifts smoothly and quickly as designed.   The suspension is tight, rattle free, and yes even smooth riding.  Brakes are even and smooth even when applied hard.  All options work from lights to speakers, to rear defogger.

I bought this Trans Am to replace the 4.9 Liter engine with a 455 cubic inch Pontiac.  The car ended up being too nice to tear apart and the original drivetrain drives better than expected.   I have rebuilt the carb, bought new tires, new alignment, and replaced exhaust from original catalytic converter on back including the splitters.

This is a rust free example Trans Am that has obviously been well garaged it’s entire life as it is now.  There are some minor scratches here and there like rock chips, etc. of course; let’s not be ridiculous.  But nothing that needs addressing as the pictures demonstrate.   I have been on eBay since 2002 and have sold cars out of my personal collection to satisfied buyers all across the USA and the world.  I encourage inspections from buyers and professional inspectors.  Videos and pictures available simply by asking.  More pictures at my car collection website.   Just Google my name (Jim Hailey).  Call me almost anytime if you wish.
